We are excited to announce the launch of the International Summer Seminar of the Fertile Futures project - Portuguese Official Representation at 18th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia 2023.
“The Laboratory of the Future” as addressed by Lesley Lokko - Curator of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia 2023 - urges us to create an exploratory programme, based on laboratory and collaborative dynamics.
The International Summer Seminar of FERTILE FUTURES, a two-week programme, offers a unique opportunity to learn about water, architecture and sustainability, and explore the ways in which architecture can contribute to promote environmental sustainability. Through this program, you will have the chance to work with other international students of architecture, share your ideas, and collaborate on the construction of 1:1 scale installations in Fundão municipality.
As a participant in the International Summer Seminar, you will have access to top-level faculty members, experienced professionals in the field, and cutting-edge research in architecture and sustainable development, working
under the guidance of the seven Design Teams of FERTILE FUTURES project: Space Transcribers, Dulcineia Santos Studio, Guida Marques, Oficinia Pedrêz, Corpo Atelier, Ilhéu Atelier and Ponto Atelier.
This program is open to international students of architecture from all over the world, and we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences. To apply, please submit a short motivation letter (maximum 300 words) explaining why you want to participate in this program, as well as some Personal and Academic information. English language skills (B1) are required.
