Child Poverty- CCFN Community Survey
Calvert County Family Network (CCFN) is Calvert County’s Local Management Board (LMB). LMBs operate in each Maryland jurisdiction, partnering with county leadership, public and private agencies and businesses to build communities where all children, youth and families can thrive. Every three years, CCFN conducts a Community Needs Assessment of Maryland's 8 Results for Child Well-Being.

The purpose of this 10-minute survey is to help identify ways to eliminate childhood poverty in Calvert County and to gather your feedback as CCFN develops its FY22-FY25 Strategic Plan. Your participation in voluntary. To help protect your confidentiality, this survey does not contain any personally identifying information. The results of this survey will be used for CCFN's purposes only. If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Julie Mashino at 410-414-5997 or Julie.Mashino@calvertcountymd.gov.

Child Poverty
Living in poverty has negative effects on children and adolescent well-being. Poverty is linked to substandard housing, homelessness, inadequate nutrition, lack of affordable/high quality child care and lack of access to health care. Children and adolescents experiencing poverty are at greater risk of negative outcomes, such as poor academic achievement, school dropout, abuse and neglect, behavioral and mental health problems, physical health problems and developmental delays.
