Teacher/Student/Parent/Guardian Computer Use Contract (1st-5th grade)
Below are policies that will regulate our use of the Internet and devices (iPads, Chromebooks). These rules have been designed to keep our computers, iPads, Chromebooks, and classrooms (virtual or in-person) functioning at the highest of standards. In order to have access to email, the Internet, and computers in the classrooms and at home, please read the following and sign below:
Students may NOT bring food or drinks near computers.
Devices should be used for educational use and only the programs the teacher allows during school hours.
Students may not bypass the school’s firewall and should only login using their school accounts.
Students hacking, altering unauthorized files, or using the network in any way other than that intended will lose their device privileges until the administration and parents conference.
Any behavior that threatens the physical safety of the equipment or other students, will lead to the loss of privileges. NO cyberbullying is allowed!
Passwords should be kept private.
No inappropriate language will be tolerated. DPS students are monitored with a program called
www.Gaggle.net.
Students may change their desktop, screensaver, etc. at appropriate times and not during instruction.
Check your device daily! Inform your teacher if anything is broken or not working properly. The student is responsible for their assigned device.
Consequences:
1st offense:
Teacher/Student conference and/or email/Google Meet with Administration, at the discretion of the teacher.
2nd offense: Student’s loss of computer privileges as per DPS User Policy*
