The Miss Bunny Bag (English)

The Miss Bunny Bag is a seasonal subscription package curated by South Holland Librarians for children ages 0-3 years. Participants get a personalized bag filled with library board books, fun activities, a developmental guide, and on your child's birthday they will receive a little treasure for your little one to keep! Items are checked out to your library card to use for 3 weeks. Your library card must be in good standing to sign-up for a Miss Bunny Bag. Please indicate below how you would like to be notified when your bag is ready.

Who is Miss Bunny?

She's our fan-favorite storytime sidekick! Look for her at our toddler storytimes with Miss Rosie. 

What to Expect:

  • A list of age-appropriate titles and materials, featuring the 5 Practices of Every Child Ready to Read: Sing, Talk, Read, Write, Play 
  • Participants are automatically enrolled in our “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” Reading program.  1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is our free year-round early literacy program for all children from birth to the summer before Kindergarten. You receive your tracking sheets in the bag.
  • Tell us your child's interests and help guide our selections, or simply let us surprise you!
  • You will be contacted via email to schedule a pick-up once your bag is ready, which is usually 2-3 weeks from when you submit your request (or sometimes, sooner!) 
  • Bags are NOT mailed so please plan to pick-up your bag at the Youth Services desk at South Holland Public Library.
  • Anyone with a valid, unexpired library card can reserve a bag, but due to limited supplies, there is a limit of one bag per family.

Is the Miss Bunny Box available in other languages?

  • Yes! We currently offer English and Spanish.
