Pennsic is a rustic campground with few areas and camps supplied with electricity. The Accessible camp is an attempt to provide individuals who need it a centrally located, flat camping space with access to electrical outlets. This is a reasonable accommodation to allow those with mobility issues and/or a need for electricity a location where both are readily available.
Please note that essentially it is singles camping that is restricted to those who need the location and electricity.
Unfortunately, we cannot and do not provide assistance with unloading or set up of your tent. It is incumbent upon you to organize such assistance as you need. There are people who may be hired to do such set up.
You do NOT have to be registered with this camp if you disabled and are camping elsewhere.
Registration is for individuals with a disability and those camping in the same tent as them. We do not register groups or households.
Please provide all information requested by June 15th
Please note that this form will ONLY be used by the Coordinator for space planning. EACH PERSON MUST STILL PRE-REGISTER WITH THE COOPER’S after they receive confirmation from our office. Space in the area is limited and reservations are on a first-come, first served basis.
Campers and RV’s are not permitted in the disabilities camping area. RV and camper van registration is handled by Coopers Lake Campground.
There are a limited number of electrical outlets to be used for essential medical devices. You may wish to bring a long outdoor rated extension cord and a splitter.
We cannot guarantee the stability of the electrical service and outages may occur overnight; you should plan accordingly.
Please be detailed about your tent set up. It will help us set up the land correctly in advance.
You will be sent a copy of your form, please keep for your records. If you have not received a response within 1 week please contact accessibility@pennsicwar.org
Once you have received confirmation from this office please register and list Disability camp as your location.
