An Introduction to Contemporary Irish Writing
This 6 week course will introduce participants to contemporary Irish writing. Members of the School of English, DCU will aim to familiarise participants with the genres of the fiction, poetry, and drama tracking how Irish literature responded to historical and cultural developments in Ireland during this century of transformation. Formal and aesthetic concerns will be considered as well as thematic interpretations of individual texts. Close reading and discussion will be encouraged.

The class will start in October on Zoom (date to be advised). The cost for six weeks is €60.00.
