ARE IN NO WAY INSTRUCTION OR ADVICE ON THE SPORT OF PARAGLIDING.  PARAPENTE ASPEN, INC. TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY PERSONAL SAFETY AS A PARTICIPANT IN THE SPORT OF PARAGLIDING OR RELATED ACTIVITIES.  I AGREE TO FOLLOW ANY RULES AND REGULATIONS PROVIDED TO ME AND ONLY USE APPROVED LAUNCH AND LANDING AREAS. I WILL NOT FLY FROM ANY SITE I AM NOT QUALIFIED TO FLY FROM AS DETERMINED BY THE LOCAL PILOTS. I WILL DO NOTHING TO JEOPARDIZE THE AVAILABLE SITES IN THE ASPEN AREA.  I AGREE TO SURRENDER ANY AUTHORIZATION TO FLY ASPEN SITES AT THE REQUEST OF PARAPENTE ASPEN, INC. OR ANY EMPLOYEE OF THE SKIING COMPANY.  IN THE EVENT OF INJURY I AGREE TO HOLD ANY LANDOWNER OR PARAPENTE ASPEN, INC., THE UNITED STATES HANG GLIDING AND PARAGLIDING ASSOCIATION AND/OR ANY MEMBERS PROVIDING ME WITH INFORMATION OR ASSISTANCE HARMLESS AND WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR MY INJURIES.  WE ARE VERY SERIOUS ABOUT MAINTAINING SAFE PARAGLIDING IN THE ASPEN AREA AND INSIST ON YOUR HELP.  OUR GOAL IS TO PROMOTE AND EXPAND SAFE PARAGLIDING.  ASPEN PARAGLIDING, INC. IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REGULATION, SPONSORSHIP OF PILOTS, OR ENFORCEMENT OF FLYING SITE RULES (BOTH LAUNCH & LANDING ZONES).  ASPEN PARAGLIDING SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE ASSOCIATED SERVICES IT PROVIDES DISTRIBUTING OR COLLECTING MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION.  PARAPENTE ASPEN MEMBERS, OFFICERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ARE SIMILARLY NOT LIABLE FOR ASPEN PARAGLIDING DECISIONS AND ACTIVITIES.

AFFIRMATION OF UNITED STATES HANG GLIDING AND PARAGLIDING ASSOCIATION RELEASE, WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT

AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF APPLICABILITY TO USHPA CHAPTER

Flight Under FAA Regulation "Part 103 is based on the assumption that any individual who elects to fly an ultralight vehicle has assessed the dangers involved and assumes personal responsibility for his/her safety". FAA AC-103-7

In consideration of being allowed to use the facilities and participate in the sport of "Ultralight Vehicles" and other activities (collectively the “Activities”) provided by [NAME OF ADDITIONAL INSURED USHPA CHAPTER] (the "USHPA Chapter"), I hereby reaffirm the United States Hang Gliding And Paragliding Association (“USHPA”) Release, Waiver and

Assumption of Risk Agreement (the “USHPA Release”) previously signed by me and acknowledge that it is applicable to my participation in any and all Activities of the USHPA Chapter. Each of the terms, including the definitions, of the USHPA Release are hereby incorporated by reference as though fully set forth in this affirmation.

I specifically acknowledge that the following persons, including their owners, officers, directors, managers, agents, spouses, employees, officials (elected or otherwise), members, independent contractors, sub-contractors, lessors and lessees, are also RELEASED PARTIES as that term is used in the USHPA Release: Parapente Aspen, Inc USHPA Chapter 189, and each of its members, employees, agents, volunteers, officers, directors, and managers; Aspen Paragliding, Inc, Aspen Ski Company, City of Aspen, CO, Pitkin County Open Space & Trails, Steve Vance, His Parents, Heirs & Estate, Parapente Aspen;

This specification of certain RELEASED PARTIES is not meant to be an all-inclusive list or to limit in any way the scope of persons included within the definition of RELEASED PARTIES in the USHPA Release. Rather, it is made to give assurance to those listed here that they are included within the scope of the definition of RELEASED PARTIES in the USHPA Release. "Ultralight Vehicles" includes powered and unpowered hang gliders and paragliders. Mini-wings and speed-wings are types of paragliders. 

This affirmation in no way limits, restricts or narrows the terms or scope of the USHPA Release previously signed by me.
