Based on parent and staff feedback and how our COVID cases are looking within our community, AAEM will be offering a virtual instruction option to a limited number of students.

The virtual option will be a full-time online classroom, where students will meet with their teacher for their instruction through Google Meets and get assignments via Google Classroom.  K-5 students will have one teacher for the day, following a daily schedule that mirrors our regular in-person instructional day.  Teachers may dismiss students early within the day for independent work for students to complete and then have them return at a later designated time for either a different subject or for follow up work.  Students who leave class or subject before they are dismissed will be marked as absent for the day.

By selecting "No," you are confirming in-person instruction and attendance policies.  Full time instruction will be in a brick-and-mortar classroom on our campus.  Students will follow their designated schedule.  

This form will allow us to track what students would be participating in the online academy.  ***Please fill out a survey for each child that attends AAEM!  For example, if you have 3 students who attend, please fill out this survey 3 times***.  It is important that you also select the correct teacher or homeroom for your child, so please consult your ParentVue account or contact the front office to confirm before filling this out.

As a result of opening up this option, there is a strong possibility that your child's teacher and/or schedule may change, whether you select online or not.  We will communicate this as much as possible ahead of time, so please make sure you're checking your emails, Dojo, and ParentVue for the latest information.  It is also likely that Specials will be impacted and your child may either skip one of the classes or repeat one of them.  We will attempt to accommodate, but it will not always be possible.

Finally, this selection for placement will continue until AAEM decides we are no longer offering this option.  We hope that it will not be for the entirety of the year, but will move forward with that mindset, hoping that the cases throughout our community (and country) start trending down sooner rather than later.

The first day of our online instruction will be Oct 12th.
