2023 "Little Big Horn" Marching Contest Online Registration - Please fill out each section below. Please provide accurate contact information so there will be an accurate line of communication to send schedules and updates about the Contest. All sections require a response. All applications received after OCTOBER 1st will pay the usual $100 Entry Fee.

BAND CLASSIFIATION:
Class A = 1-25 Winds Class AAA = 51-75 Winds Class AAAAA = 100+ Winds
Class AA = 26-50 Winds Class AAAA = 76-100 Winds
*Please understand that the number of WIND PLAYERS for each group will be counted as your band ENTERS and EXITS the field. If you register as a A Band, but have over 25 wind players upon entering the field, you will be judged in the appropriate class for the number of WIND PLAYERS that you have ON THE DAY OF THE CONTEST. Bands who wish to willingly move up a class may do so, but no Band will be allowed to move down a class or remain in a class where they are OVER the limit of wind players. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
TYPE OF SHOW:
You may do any type of show you wish. YOU WILL BE JUDGED ON HOW WELL YOU DO WHAT YOU DO. The Opp Band Boosters will provide assistance and transportation for your pit/front ensemble equipment. The Channel-Lee Stadium has a standard football field and track area. Side line markers and hash markers will be very visible. Electric power is available on the field level. Please let us know ahead of time if you need this service.
UNITS TO BE JUDGED:
Drum Major, Band, Majorettes (no minimum), Dance Line, Colorguard, and Percussion,.
You may elect "Comments ONLY" in any or all areas. Bands will be scheduled from smallest to largest winds in each class.
RATINGS:
Will be Division I, II, and III in each category. You will also receive a numerical score. Trophies will be awarded to all Division I and II Bands, and all Division I Drum Majors, Majorettes, Dance Lines, Colorguard, and Percussion. Best In Class Bands (Highest Scoring) in each class will receive an award.
Division I = 85 - 100
Division II = 70 - 84.9
Division III = 55 - 69.9
SPECIAL AWARDS:
Mallory Award - Presented to the highest scoring Drum Major of the entire day.
Director's Award, Best Soloist Award, Fan's Favorite Award, and Most Entertaining Band.
GUIDES:
Members of the Opp High School Band Program will guide you through every step of our contest, from warm-up to seating.
CHANGING AREA:
Located in the Opp Middle School Gymnasium (Behind Bus parking). Guides will assist with this as well.
