Wir sind sehr gespannt auf das erste Mal, dass wir dieses Event in digitaler Form abhalten. Wir haben uns natürlich trotzdem wieder spannende Challenge überlegt und erwarten mit Begeisterung das Wochenende!

1. Circular Economy:
We live in a linear  take-make-waste economy. However, waste and pollution are not accidents, but consequences of decisions made at the design stage, where around 80% of environmental impacts are determined. How can we use renewable resources to redesign everyday products and create a thriving economy within the limits of our planet?

2. Mechanism Design & Politics:
Economic inequality is worsening, democratic institutions are decaying and our societies are ideologically divided. These difficulties tempt many towards the “quick fixes” of more authoritarian governance.
How can we use Mechanism Design to rethink our social institutions and reexamine the basic building blocks of capitalism and democracy?

3. Cities of Tomorrow:
For the first time in history, more than half of the global population lives in cities. This demographic explosion and growing attraction of urban areas pushes us to rethink what the neighborhoods of tomorrow could be like. How can we design a neighborhood that achieves the goals of socially sustainable development for all?

4. Sustainable Sports:
Germany-wide, more than 18 million football fans visit stadiums every year. Football moves the world and has a huge social, economical but also ecological impact. How can we make the sports event more sustainable and build the Arena of the future?
