The Youth Coalition for SDGs & Smart Youth Network initiative is organizing the International Day of Women and Girls in STEM on 11th Feb,2021   Uganda has a high primary school enrolment rate (91%) with school completion rate 53%. (Only 5% of boys and 4% of girls progress to tertiary education); 1 in 5 girls take on science courses in secondary and in the higher levels of Learning .

its this background that we are calling upon Women and Girls in Science, Technology ,Engineering and Math to tell their stories to inspire more young girls to participate in STEM In order to achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in uganda.
