Important Information- PLEASE READ
We understand there has been a lot of conversation around getting students back in school as many days as possible. The Administrative Team has been exploring bringing students to school 4 days a week in phases. If we go to this model, hybrid students would be attending 4 days a week and full remote students would be zooming for classes 4 days a week. We are surveying the community to gather information to determine if we are able to do this.
In addition, the District wants to make sure parents/guardians understand that in order to bring back full classes 4 days a week, students will NO longer be able to be 6ft apart in classrooms. This does not follow the updated CDC guidelines released on February 12, 2021. The use of shields is approved by the DOH and NYSED when 6ft distancing is not possible. Students will still be required to be masked at all times except during mask breaks and while eating. 6ft must be maintained at lunch, so some students may not be eating in the lunchroom. Special areas, such as art, music, and PE will be impacted as well.
In order to ensure that we are able to accommodate any student who may wish to be in school for 4 days of in person learning, we are asking ALL families to complete this survey.
Please note that at the elementary level, classroom teacher changes may occur depending on class sizes moving forward and at CFMS and CFHS, class schedules may change depending on the needs of the buildings.
We appreciate your patience as we move through this process together.
