Dear 2022 Camp Staff Applicant,

Thank you for applying to be a part of the 2022 WLACC Camp Staff. Whether you are applying for Camp Emerald Bay or Whitsett, we are excited for your enthusiasm to help us run a unique, unparalleled and unforgettable Scouting experience. Please pay special attention to the content of this communication as it contains important information on our application process. Complete answers to each of the questions below are required for your application to continue to be considered.  


PLEASE NOTE:  Area Directors will be interviewed and hired throughout January and will coordinate their own interview dates and times with non-director level staff. The Area Directors will reach out directly to all applicants interested in their area who they believe could be a good fit based off references and personal statements. Expect to hear from the Area Directors around mid-February and have interviews with them in March.

The 2022 camp season runs from Sunday, June 5th through Saturday, August 20th. Each Camp works a different range, so when giving your dates of availability it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that your maximum availability be given as many hiring decisions are made on the basis of availability. The dates you provide do not guarantee you a timeframe for a contract. If you are offered a contract via WorkBright, be diligent when checking which position and dates we offered you. Personal Statement *
Each applicant is to write a letter answering the questions: Why do you want to work at Camp this summer?  What are you committed to doing to ensure that the history, tradition, and excellence WLACC is known for are continued for the summer of 2022?  How will you help us realize our Vision of “A world in which people make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime.”?  What special skills do you have that would help you in the job(s) you are applying for (Please include merit badges, and technical, and computer skills, etc.)?
