I prefer a team-based promotion ceremony at which students are recognized with their team-based peers. All academic and grade-level awards (including promotion certificates) would be distributed at that assembly. This would occur during the school day.

I prefer a grade-level promotion ceremony at which students are given promotion certificates and school-wide awards with their grade-level peers at an evening ceremony at SAHS. Academic awards would be distributed at a team-based assembly occurring during the school day.
