IABC/BC Professional Development Events: Speakers Application Form
IABC/BC Call for Speakers is an open invitation to all business professional communicators, thought leaders, executives, consultants, and academics. This is your opportunity to share your expertise through our Professional Development themes this year:
  • Influential Leadership Communication: Effective leadership and communication skills help build trust, motivate teams, and drive positive outcomes within an organization.
  • Advanced Storytelling Strategies: Setting yourself apart from story telling creates a more intricate and captivating narratives that resonates at a deeper level about your message to your audience.
  • Data-Driven Communication: Incorporating data into communication strategies enables evidence-based decision-making, allowing communicators to refine their messaging, target audiences more effectively, and demonstrate the impact of their efforts.
Events will take place in February, March, and May 2024. 

If you’re interested in presenting in alignment with one of these themes, please submit your proposal before or by December 27, 2023. 

We’ll follow-up in the New Year if you are shortlisted. Thank you for your interest!
What to expect:
Speakers are selected through the IABC/BC Board of Directors. Selections are based on alignment to the IABC Global Standard and the degree to which the sessions inform, engage, and deliver on the themes.

We are looking for:
  • Leaders and innovators in the business communication space
  • New tools and techniques that will foster business growth and audience engagement
  • Speakers who push the boundaries of what is happening now — and make attendees think about how to prepare for the future
  • Actionable, real-life examples attendees can take back and implement quickly
