Best Giving Day Strategies - RAISE23 Awards
Petrus’ annual awards program recognizes outstanding achievement by fundraising professionals and volunteers. Each year, Petrus honors some of the best fundraising campaigns of the past year with the RAISE Awards. In order for a campaign to be eligible, it must have taken place from January 1, 2022 to present, with the winners announced at the RAISE23 Conference in June 2023. You can submit your nominations now through March 31, 2023. Submissions received by the Early Bird Deadline of March 1, 2023 will receive a gift at the conference. Winners of each award category will receive 50% off RAISE24 Conference registration for one individual.

The Award for Best Giving Day Strategies recognizes an organization for having a highly effective and efficient Giving Day.  Entries should be an initiative that, while potentially planned over many months, takes place over a period of 24-48 hours. Emphasis should be on overall strategy, messaging, execution, and results. Videos, publications and other creative materials may be included, but will be considered secondary to overall strategy.

Nominations are scored in these five areas:

  • Ability to serve as a model for other institutions

  • Creativity and innovation

  • Impact and results

  • Strategy and methodology

  • Use of resources (budget, people, and time) and return on investment

Judges also may consider:

  • Understanding of target audience(s)

  • Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials

  • Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
