Thank you for your interest in our Nature Guardians summer programme. Locally summer is rarely associated with nature, but it is surprising how nature has so much to teach us even in these scorching conditions. As the title of this course explains, nature will still be the focal point with a renewed emphasis on having fun and making friends. The course programme is packed with new and exciting educational activities which will surely go down well with our nature guardians.
This course will see participants meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at our Salina Nature Reserve to enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. The course will have 10 sessions starting in July and ending in mid-September with a week’s break for Santa Marija. The course will also include a couple of outings where we will learn about the work of other NGOs. Meeting time will always be 5pm at Salina Nature Reserve with pick-up time being 8pm, meaning sessions will last for three hours. The course will see a maximum of 14 participants guided by at least three BirdLife Malta staff members. Once more, the course will be a mixture of fun, learning and hands-on work with the aim of connecting children with nature. Our dedicated staff members will nurture the importance of protecting our environment, delving into the fascinating world of soil, water, insects, mammals, plants and obviously birds.
The cost of the course, which includes a Nature Guardians summer T-shirt, is €220. Booking will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of only 14 children accepted, so hurry up and complete the application and payment. We look forward to welcoming you all to enjoy the outdoors together!
