There is no compelling reason for the regulations.
I'm able to earn more money cleaning rentals than I can anywhere else. This will hurt my family.

Hawaii County should be focused on core services like water sewer public safety transportation and infrastructure. None of those services are well managed today. Quit distracting county staff and focus on delivering the services we are paying for.
The county's affordable housing office embezzled $11 million from the affordable housing program and auditors found huge problems with the office. Focus on cleaning up your own mess and leave me and my family alone.
This type of legislation is why we can't have nice things.
The county's bus system is so broken that kids can't even get to school. Focus on providing core services like a working bus system and leave those of us who are just trying to earn a living alone.
Hosted rentals are the only way I can make ends meet. I'm deeply fearful of what will happen to my family if it is taken away.
The permitting and planning offices have huge backlogs already. Adding to their workload is just going to make our housing situation worse.
Regulating our industry without commissioning an independent study to understand the potential impact is negligent.
