Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland
Welcome to Stars and Steps afterschool theatre enrichment program.   If you decide to enroll your child in the program, they will need to commit to the full year November 2023 through June 2024.  We will audition, rehearse and perform Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland the musical.   All children will be included in the production unless they prefer to be a part of the stage crew.  Please check the box below for Stage Crew participants.  Stage crew will need to be available in April for rehearsals and show dates.  We promise to make this an educational, fun, rewarding and safe experience for your children.   The rehearsal schedule can be found on our website at www.stars-and-steps.com.   Please check your calendars and make sure your child is available for these dates.   Let us know in advance if you have scheduled vacations.  The kids will be cast in the show by the end of November.  Make sure you read the liability waiver and commitment form carefully and understand the importance of commitment. Everyone is vital to our production and is being counted on to do their part. Waiver Release.   I have chosen to have my child participate in Drama Club instruction provided by Stars & Steps.  I understand the nature of the activities that my child will be participating in and acknowledge that my child is in the proper physical condition and capable of participating in the activities.  I understand that Stars & Steps is not in any way responsible for making such a determination and does not provide health insurance for those participating in its instruction. Commitment Form.  Dear Parent and Drama Club Member,  Please read over the commitment agreement.  This contract MUST be sign and returned before our first meeting.   Participating in a Drama Club takes a commitment from both the student and the parent.  •  We will be working on a stage production that will require our cast members to attend all practices.  We understand when emergencies arise, just let us know, so we can excuse the member for that practice.  Excessive absences may lead to dismissal from the club.  •  We will practice at least once a week for 1 1/2  hours.  We will expect our members to be respectful, kind, considerate, helpful, diligent, team oriented and most of all have a good attitude.  These rules will help both the teacher and students have a good experience.  If behavior becomes an issue, a written warning by email will be sent home for the first major offense and if the behavior continues, the member will be dismissed from the club. Be prepared to use your creativity finding costumes and props.  Please make payment arrangements for the program.  There are several expenses related to putting on a stage production including, facility and janitor costs, script, costumes, royalty fees, props, director book, lighting, sound, marketing materials-posters, program, fliers, and instruction.
