Each year, the Louisiana Department of Health provides educational emergency preparedness trainings to medical facilities and interested parties.  In lieu of the annual face-to-face ESF8 Hurricane Summit, a “hurricane zoom series” has been scheduled.  This zoom series will include briefs from other State Agency/ESF leads on a range of topics.

Who can attend:  Rural Health Clinics, FQHCs, critical access hospitals, small rural hospitals, and any other healthcare partner.

What: Hear from  industry experts on the EMS Surge Ambulance Plan, Mass Fatality & Cemetery Reinternment; Vulnerable Populations; Sheltering; and State Agency Updates.

When: Every Tuesday in May and 1 in June at 1pm for approximately 1 hour.  

Where:  Zoom.  Outlook invitations will be forthcoming so that you can add to your calendar.

Why: Because we secretly love hurricane-response and are tired of COVID.

The presentations will be recorded and published for those who are unable to join or wish to share the presentation with their organization.
