Call for Artists and Artisans: Art in the Courtyard
We invite you to apply to the 2nd Annual Princeton Makes Events Art Festival in the Princeton Shopping Center Courtyard, on Sunday October 6th, 2024.  

Our goal is to create a vibrant and lively atmosphere that brings people together, fosters community pride and engagement, and generates positive economic impact for both the artists and the local community.   
  • Limited to 75 artists and artisans (local- approx. 60 mile radius from 08540) 
  • Gorgeous Lawn and Courtyard Setting -  Most Booths on grass
  • Extensive Local Marketing and PR
  • Active promotion on the Princeton Makes website, on the dedicated Princeton Makes Events social media page, including accompanying artwork images, email contact, and links to business websites
  • Estimated Local Patrons 1,500+

Specifics:

  • Open to local Artists and Artisans residing within a 1 hour driving distance ( approx. 60 miles)
    We welcome all mediums, including fine art, ceramics, fiber, wood, metal, glass, and more. Our goal is to feature a diverse range of high-quality art and craft products that showcase the talent of our local community. We are looking for vendors who can provide a display/ booth photo representative of the intended festival booth appearance. We aim to create an engaging and interactive experience that fosters creativity and community engagement, so we encourage vendors to provide interactive elements, such as live demonstrations or workshops
  • All work must be made by the artist, this is a "maker" event
    No Outside Food vendors 
  • There will be music, interactive activities and community projects throughout the day. 
  • Booth size 10' x10' - Canopy/ Tent required. All tents must be adequately secured with weights (40lbs per leg recommended)
  • Date: Sunday, October 6th, 2024
  • 11am to 5pm (set up anytime between 7:00-10:30 am / breakdown after 5)
  • There is NO scheduled rain date/no refunds- no exceptions. Please plan accordingly.

  • All additional information, parking, event maps, loading/unloading areas, etc. will be sent out via email in a timely manner. 
  • All checks must be made out to Princeton Makes.

Application Process
 Application fee is $10 (nonrefundable)
Fees can be paid via checks mailed to address above or Venmo

 All application submissions MUST include
4 CURRENT jpeg images to represent the art you intend to show and sell - 
3 jpegs of art
+ 1 of studio space or a previous show booth space. (Send your best work)
All images must be labeled attachments (Artist Name- Title of work / Booth Shot- Medium

ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED!

Important Dates:

Submission deadline is midnight on July 31, 2024. 
Submissions will be panel reviewed right after the deadline date and participants announced by Aug 6th, 2024. 
If accepted the booth fee is $90 (nonrefundable) for  a 10'x10' booth, payable no later than Aug 15th, 2024.

Read carefully:
A Liability Waiver to be signed by all those accepted goes out with our final decision email.
There is no available electric in the courtyard for artists/ artisans. Vendors are responsible to provide their own 10x10 canopy/tables/displays, and have the canopy properly secured for everyone's safety, with weights and or stakes -if on grass.


Vendors are responsible for set-up/break-down/clean-up of their assigned space. Vendors are responsible for liability insurance. Unloading and loading instructions and maps will be emailed to accepted artists closer to the event. A hand cart is strongly recommended, as the courtyard does not have direct vehicle access to the booth location. 

If you have a specific need/request, please note it on your application. We make no commitments, however we will consider the request.
Please have your sales tax certificate on hand during the event.

Advertising/ Marketing
This event is promoted via paper, on line sites, and social media pages, and groups. There
are also lawn signs, a banner, and posters put up in and around Princeton prior to the event. The

Artists will have a dedicated profile on the www.princetonmakes.com website. 
We encourage you to promote the event as well!
