Terms of Agreement for loaning a Chromebook
Please read below for a description of the terms that each parent/student must agree to for a chromebook to be loaned out.
I understand that my student has been issued a TPSD Chromebook which should be used by my student to participate and complete online instruction provided by his/her teacher(s).  This Chromebook will be used through May of this school year as well as a summer school opportunity this June and July 2020  to catch up on school content missed due to Covid-19.  Usage of all devices will be monitored regularly while on loan.  We will collect this Chromebook at a date to be announced in early August 2020 prior to school beginning.  While the purpose of my use of the Chromebook is limited and restricted by Terrebonne Parish School Board for use only in connection with student use, the School Board acknowledges my student may occasionally have minimal personal use.  I am personally responsible for the cost of any such personal use of this service.                             Replacement Cost of Chromebook:  I understand, my student is the user of the Chromebook, and my student should guard it from loss or damage. During the time my student is user of the Chromebook, if it becomes lost or damaged, I (the parent/guardian) am responsible for the replacement cost of the Chromebook.  The replacement cost of the Chromebook is the current retail price for the Chromebook, or if no longer available, the current retail price of a similar model Chromebook. Terrebonne Parish School Board, parents, and I agree that the current retail price of the Chromebook is $246.00.   *
Processing Time Description
Once you click submit at the bottom of the page, a notification will be sent to the principal.  The principal, or designee, will contact you via JCampus text message and/or email about pick up date, time, and specifics. Student(s) must be present with parent/guardian when picking up the chromebook. There will only be one distribution day per week, and you may not receive an immediate response, please be patient.  If you have any further questions, please contact either your student's teacher or the school principal via email found on the school's website.  At this time, only one chromebook will be issued per household.  If it is available to issue more than one, you will be contacted again for another date/time for distribution.
