Free image access for badminton players 2023-2026

This is an application form for all badminton players wishing to access free images from BWF tournaments from 2023-2026 courtesy of BWF and Badmintonphoto. Since the beginning of 2023, BWF and Badmintonphoto now co-own all image rights and as part of this contract, have opened up free to players. This allows all badminton players with a BWF ID to be able to use these images on their own social and digital platforms free of use. Note, this is restricted to low resolution image downloads only. Players will be granted access to the Badmintonphoto database in the form of a confidential login and password. Matches are randomly selected and there are no guarantees that your match will be featured in the day’s coverage. Badmintonphoto will try to cover major upsets as well as all players involved in semifinals and finals matches. No requests can be done directly to Badmintonphoto. Only players with an updated Gold Pack pass can be guaranteed a higher volume of images (see details below).

Use by off these free access images by third parties is not permitted. Any misuse will result in a closure of your account and possible invoicing.

  • Media and Commercial use not allowed.
  • High Resolution use not allowed
  • Must show Badmintonphoto watermark.
Any Media use is subject to a separate licensing agreement.  Ask for Gold Pack

Credit must be displayed : For web use BWF/Badmintonphoto, for media use BWF/Badmintonphoto by [Photographer Name] + plus @Badmintonphoto on Facebook, @Badmintonphoto_official on Instagram

To receive images to tournaments or days of coverage not outlined above, you will need to upgrade to a Gold Pack. This includes:

- Any other days of a Super 300 tournament  
- BWF Tour Super 100, International Challenge tournaments
- National Championships and Private Leagues
- Continental Team and Individual Championships
- Multi-sport Games (Commonwealth Games, European Games, Asian Games, Sea Games, etc)

Purchase of a Gold Pack will also allow you to share images with the media.
