Each year the Department of Mathematics opens it doors to schools and home-schoolers* that wish to visit us at the University of Toronto Campus. We provide various lectures, hands-on workshops, and other mathematics based activities for a wide range of grades/student groups.
This form will be used as a basis to book your school visit at the University of Toronto. However, please note that simply filling out this form does not confirm a visit for your group. Once we have received your request, someone from our office will contact you to clarify and confirm your visit details. During our busy periods it may take several weeks before you receive a reply.
If you have any questions please contact us at
outreach@math.toronto.edu with the subject line "School Visit"
Special thanks to the Fields Institute for sponsoring this program (
http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/).
*Please note that we cannot offer workshops for a single family of home-schooled children. Home-schoolers interested in a math field trip are asked to coordinate with other families to create a group of at least 10 children within three-grade range. If you are looking for mathematics enrichment for individual home-schooled children, we highly recommend our enrichment courses and math contest training. See the main part of our website for more details.
