2023 Summer Academy Registration Form
Kanawha County Schools will host Summer Academy & Extended School Year (ESY) from June 12th, 2023 - June 30th, 2023 and will be from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily. Summer Academy and ESY are available to any current KCS student in PreK-12.

All students will be provided transportation, breakfast and lunch. Students at the elementary, middle and high school levels will be provided with various learning experiences focusing on academic enrichment, skills mastery and collaborative learning. 

Please complete the following form by 11:59 PM, April 6th, 2023 for EACH of your children who would like to attend. All information gathered will allow Kanawha County Schools to staff appropriately. If your submission is after 11:59 PM, April 6th you will be added to a waitlist.

  • Alban Elementary (for students who attend Alban, Andrews Heights, Anne Bailey, Central, Lakewood or Weimer)
  • Bridgeview Elementary (for students who attend Bridgeview, Dunbar Intermediate, Dunbar Primary, Montrose, Richmond)
  • Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary (for students who attend MCSWSE Chamberlain, Edgewood, Grandview, Kanawha City, Piedmont, Ruffner, Shoals )
  • Midland Trail Elementary (for students who attend Belle, Marmet, Cedar Grove, Chesapeake, Midland Trail, Malden, Mary Ingles, Pratte, Sharon Dawes)
  • Pinch Elementary (for students who attend Pinch, Clendenin, Elk Center)
  • Point Harmony Elementary (for students who attend Point Harmony, Cross Lanes, Nitro)
  • Flinn Elementary (for students who attend Sissonville or Flinn)
  • Weberwood Elementary (for students who attend Weberwood, Alum Creek, Holz, Kenna, Overbrook, Ruthlawn)
  • Elk Center Elementary (for students attending Extended School Year (ESY) with an IEP)
  • Ben Franklin Career Center (for students who attend Andrew Jackson, Dunbar, Hayes, McKinley, Sissonville, South Charleston, West Side)
  • Carver Career Center (for students who attend DuPont, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Elkview, Horace Mann, John Adams)
  • Capital High School (for students who attend Capital High School)
  • George Washington High School (for students who attend George Washington High School)
  • Herbert Hoover High School (for students who attend Herbert Hoover High School)
  • Nitro High School (for students who attend Nitro High School)
  • Riverside High School (for students who attend Riverside High School)
  • St. Albans High School (for students who attend St. Albans High School)
  • Sissonville High School (for students who attend Sissonville High School)
  • South Charleston Middle School (for students who attend South Charleston High School, will be hosted at South Charleston Middle due to construction at SCHS this summer)
