Your art will play a powerful role in helping the public see, feel, and understand the real-life experiences of individuals with developmental disabilities. Through your illustration, we aim to spark empathy and shift judgment into understanding.
đź§© How It Works:Once you sign up, you will have the chance to pick a real-life story that has been carefully written and reviewed.
You will receive only the fact-based portion of the story — the emotional analysis and rationale will be withheld.
You will be paired with a Case Coordinator who will guide the process and assist with communication.
You will have 50 days from the date of assignment to complete your artwork.
🎨 Art Requirements:Media: Any medium is welcome — digital, watercolor, acrylic, pencil, collage, etc.
Size: The final artwork must be created in or adaptable to a 20 x 24 inch print size (portrait orientation preferred, but not required).
Style: The art must be artistic and story-driven, clearly representing the key moment or misunderstood behavior described in the story.
Artist Name: Please include your name or pseudonym (as you'd like to be credited).
🖼️ Submitting Your Art:If your artwork is physical:
The preferred option is to mail the original or a high-quality print to us (mailing address will be provided by your Case Coordinator).
If your artwork is digital:
Please submit a high-resolution file (minimum 300 DPI) in PNG, TIFF, or PDF format so we can print it professionally.

Your artwork will be featured in public exhibitions, educational programs, and printed materials that aim to raise awareness, reduce judgment, and build a more inclusive world.
