Oaxaca Weaving & Mushroom Forays July 16-24, 2022 -OR- July 30th-August 7th (8 nights): Participant Survey
If you found yourself here, you must have some interest in the International Mushroom & Weaving Foray with Chef Zachary Mazi of The Food Bender and Kim Hunter from Traveling Traders Bazaar! As you probably know, this is an international tour (read: a passport and full COVID vaccination are non-negotiable), and as an outdoor event, involves a bit of intrepidness & physical abilities to fully take part.  Basically, we'd would like to know about your physical shape to some degree to determine if this trip is right for you. In addition, we would love to know a few things about you and your interest in mushrooms, travel, weaving, indigenous arts & all the other things, too!

Filling out this questionnaire is not a guarantee of attendance. Space is limited on this trip, and we want to make sure our participants get the most out of the experience.  Please answer the following questions as best (or as playfully) as you can, and once we review your answers, we will get back to you promptly with information on how to secure your spot on this trip to Mexico!

Mexico is the birthplace of distillation, and Oaxaca the traditional home of MEZCAL, a class of distilled alcohols from the agave cactus of which TEQUILA is but one member.  Mezcal is intertwined with the culture and heritage of Oaxaca, and we are taking part of a day to explore the creation of Mezcal and the culture around it.  Part of this exploration will include a tasting, or several tastings. You are not required to participate, but just so our hosts are prepared for us, please let us know if you will participate in the tasting. Bottles of Mezcal can be purchased from our Distillery hosts for enjoyment or take-home as well. *
Our NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $500 helps us secure accommodations, reserve transportation, book restaurants, and secure the tour. If you make this commitment, your deposit will be returned to you only on one of two conditions: the trip is completely canceled (all monies returned), or we sell out the tour (8 spots) and someone takes your place. *
