To participate in this showcase, you must be an African American student within MS Gulf Coast counties between ages 12 to 18.
Contest takes place on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 6:19 PM at the Good Deeds Community Center.
Performance preparation and training is available by request with Ms. Kewanna Riley, Director of Scholarship Programs and Mrs. Crystal White-Smart, Director of Cultural Education. Please email the Juneteenth committee at gptjuneteenthcel@gmail to request performance assistance, or to ask any questions or concerns.
Award: 1st - 3rd place winners will be awarded scholarships and certificate of achievement. All participants will be presented with a certificate of participation.
Contest Guidelines:
- 3-5 Minute Performance.
- Performance must be recited by memorization.
- Performance-appropriate Attire
- Attendance to Practice & Rehearsal week prior to contest.
