In line with this year’s celebration of Father’s Day, The Filipino Institute and The Global Filipino Magazine will pay tribute to well-deserved Haligi ng Tahanan, in recognition of their exemplary role as fathers and as Filipino achievers who have had significant contribution in their professional career and in the society, in general.  The recognition will highlight our awardees as “The Global Filipino Ulirang Ama”.

The Global Filipino Ulirang Ama organizers aim to promote the values and traditions of Filipinos by paying tribute through a global search for model fathers.

The Ulirang Ama Organizers also hopes to inspire Filipino Fatherhood as they become role models in our society fostering integrity and high moral principles.

This year, the Father’s Day recognition ceremonies will be a virtual celebration online and will be joined by sponsors and other participants.

1. CRITERA
To qualify for The Global Filipino Ulirang Ama award, a nominee will be chosen through the following criteria:
He must a Filipino Citizen.

He is presently an Overseas Filipino Worker and concurrently employed, practicing a profession or is an entrepreneur in UAE.

He is presently a Compassionate Husband to his wife and a responsible father to his children with known moral and wholesome upbringing for his family.

He must be recognized as a just member of the community and has imparted significant contribution through his social and community involvement.

He must be an integral part of the corporate work, and is proven to have contributed to the promotional and developmental upliftment of the company, gaining respect and harmony amongst the workforce and peers, both in the management and the rank and file.  

2. NOMINATION PROCEDURE
The nominator for the awards must submit the biographical data or curriculum vitae of the nominee to determine the latter’s personal data, achievements in profession or career, socio civic activities and awards, the identity and accomplishments of their spouse and children, and other important details.

The nominees must also submit necessary documents to the foundation’s nomination committee.
