Clothing Swap

We are beyond excited to announce the very first GWISH-hosted clothing swap on Sunday April 16 at 10am in the HIG ATMO Office on the third floor. This event is open to anyone, so please spread the word! Some awesome ladies at HIMB (shout out to Rachel Dacks and Shreya Yadav) approached us with the idea after receiving a donation of new and/or lightly used women’s active/field wear (rain jackets, pullovers, field pants, etc)! So, how does it work? The idea is simple - bring ANY TYPE of clean, good condition clothing you don’t use anymore (i.e., something that you’d be happy to receive yourself) and swap it for some other clothing! Feel free to bring any style of clothing. There will be bathrooms available so people can try things on. Part of the donation includes some really nice pieces of field gear, so swing by to enter your name in a raffle for these pieces!

The purpose of this swap is to provide graduate students with the opportunity to exchange clothing for free, ultimately reducing clothing waste and saving people money. We ask that people only take clothing they feel they might utilize it, and that you do not take clothing with the intention of selling it. We’re excited to see everyone there, and please use the form below to RSVP!
