Phase 1- Welcome-Goal: Connection between lead educator and peers for the individual learners. This time is meant for learners to feel seen by peers and heard by their educators. Subjects covered: Social Emotional Learning, Communication within a communal setting. Valued Activities: Morning Meeting, Community Meeting, School chant, Active listening, story telling.

Phase 2- Collaborate- Goal: Help learners put SEL disciplines into practice, allow for social learning opportunities, project based learning based on banded groups’ interests. Subjects covered: Science, Math, History, ELA. Enrichment Valued Activities: Nature Walk, Read A loud Poems and History stories, loose parts collaboration, STEAM activities, Nature based and natural health discussions.

Phase 3- Inspire- Goal: Incorporating family and independent learner goals. Subjects covered: Math, Literacy, Science, History Valued Activities: Technology or worksheet goal setting activity, think pair share, resource sourcing for goals activity. Collaboration via Partner and small group opportunities: online learning games, flashcards, go fish, curricular games.

Phase 4- Reflect-Goal: Provide learners the option to show up to daily goals through independent learning, partnered learning or within another collaborative group. Subjects covered: Public Speaking, Art, Social Emotional Disciplines review, Handwriting. Valued Activities: Think pair share, project presentation, journaling, letter writing, drawing-comic sketching.
