Strategic Alignment through Narrative Work
I help companies, teams and individuals construct their brand narratives. Why would anyone want to do that? Some of my corporate clients are in the process of organisational change. Some want to figure out their employer value proposition. Some people need it for their TEDx talks, some for their marketing materials, some are trying to become [better] leaders and need to figure out their ideology. Some are simply at difficult junctures and want to understand where they are and what their next project might be. Major life transitions always involve adjusting your narrative.

Personal work

My first client came to me when he sold his company developing smart terminals and decided to pursue an MBA at MIT. He asked me to help him with his letter of motivation. We talked about his personal history, and he mentioned, among other things, that both his parents were medical doctors. Instead of going to MIT, he ended up founding a medical devices startup. He already sold part of his new company to a strategic investor. 

The process involves at least 4 hour-long conversations. We will talk about your personality, values, problems in the world that you see and would love to solve, opportunities you bet on, your vision, principles you espouse and practices you, well, practice. The end result is 1-2 page story about your personal brand. 

Corporate work

I wrote at least 10 documents about corporate culture, vision, mission and values for teams and companies. Among my clients were 3 independent business units at Yandex, an electric vehicle startup Arrival, and European NGO EuroClio. The process involves 10-15 hour long interviews with people at various level of organisation and then facilitating discussions around the document.
