This form is to allow the Bioschemas Community to vote on the way to proceed with the numbering for the Gene Profile. This is related to issue https://github.com/BioSchemas/specifications/issues/492 where a minor problem was identified with the Gene profile, i.e. two properties were missing cardinality constraints. There is community consensus that the changes made are acceptable.

The community governance states that the changes should be made and the version number changed to 0.8-DRAFT and then go through the release process.

During the last community call, there was general consensus that this was too heavy weight and that there should be the possibility to make the minor changes (which are widely accepted) and move to 0.8-RELEASE. However, there was also the suggestion that this should be 1.0-RELEASE according to the governance document.
