Rainbow Routes Association - Hike Club - Saturday December 3rd - Christmas on the Trails - Registration and Waiver Form

The RRA Hike Club is back for the 2022-2023 season! The first Saturday of December, enjoy a short guided hike with long time RRA volunteer Ursula Sauvé to begin the Festive Month in class.

You're invited to bring your own decoration to decorate the Conservation Sudbury Link Trail that connects the BioSki Cottage to the Nature Chalet. This hike is family friendly and children will love it.

Please fill out this registration for each individual that plans to attend. By registering, we will send you a reminder the day before and/or notify you of any possible changes or cancellations. You will not receive a confirmation email immediately after registering, only the day before the hike.

Trail Type Moderate/relatively flat. (Conditions will depend on trail conditions)

This hike is able to accommodate anyone who is capable of walking on outdoor trails. The trail is a combination of wide hardpack granular and original ground. You'll find organizers wearing a RRA dark blue vests at the event.

** This hike is dog friendly. Dogs must remain leashed and you may be asked to walk at the back of the group for everyone's comfort. **

I am aware of the nature of hiking activities I choose to take part in, and that I am properly equipped and physically able to participate. I have consulted my doctor (if necessary) and have no medical or other condition left unmanaged that might preclude my participation.

I acknowledge that the activities in which I am participating involve risks that are beyond the control of the association including the potential for disability or death. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks both known and unknown and assume full responsibility for my participation. I agree to pay any emergency costs if and where applicable including evacuation of my person or belongings. The route includes a wide variety of infrastructure, including but not limited to, road crossings, sidewalks of varying conditions, both maintained and unmaintained trails of varying condition, etc.

I give full permission for the use of me and/or my minor childs name, photograph and video image by the Rainbow Routes Association to recognize my participation and promote RRA and its initiatives. If you do not agree, please inform the hike leader at the onset of the event!

I hereby release City of Greater Sudbury and/or other Trail Operator, their employees, volunteers, other participants, partners, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (Releasees) with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.

I recognize and understand that RRA activity hike leaders are volunteers, and do not necessarily have professional qualifications and training to lead their activities to industry standards.

Covid Considerations: By signing up for this event, you agree and acknowledge the following:

I will stay home if I have any symptoms of COVID-19 (Fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, decrease or loss of taste and smell, muscle aches, experiencing tiredness, sore throat, headache, nausea, runny/stuffy nose)

I will stay at home if someone I live with will be required to isolate because of Covid symptoms or has positive results.

I will be courteous and kind and be respectful of other people's space during the activity. Our activities are Face Mask Friendly.
