"Creatures of the Spring" Art Contest Application
This application is required to accompany artwork submissions to the Creatures of the Spring Art Contest. If the form is not fully completed, it may disqualify the artwork from the contest, so please review before submitting. All applicants agree to the following upon submitting this form:
Contest Criteria:
2D and 3D Artworks inspired by a North Carolina native species found in or around natural springs.
All mediums and styles of art are welcome.
One entry per person.
All entries, accompanied with this form must be delivered
between Noon and 5:00 PM on Friday, May 16th, 2025, to 8229 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
Permission for artwork to be used for marketing, promotional, and display purposes. This includes featuring them on HEARTS and Cain Center for the Arts websites, social media platforms, etc.
Artist shall retain all copyrights to their artwork.
Awards for the Adult (over 18) and Youth (under 18) categories are as follows:
First place - $200.00
Second place - $150.00
Third place - $75.00
All award-winning artists will be recognized and awarded their prize at the HEARTS: Let Freedom Spring event on May 24, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 PM. Free to the community, tickets are required and donations very appreciated.
