where bicycling and walking teams will participate in quirky, competitive, city-wide activities.
This signature fundraiser supports Bike Walk Macon's mission to make bicycling and walking a safe and convenient option for transportation and recreation for everyone in Macon-Bibb County.
We invite you to feature your local business or organization during this event! This year, we expect approximately 100 participants to bike and walk across Macon in search of more than 50 iconic and obscure locations.
Here are ways to participate and support the Shamrock ‘n’ Ride Scavenger Hunt:
1.) Provide items for our prize packages. There will be 7 winning teams for 1st + 2nd place. Examples - t-shirts, gift cards, swag, etc.
2.) Participate as a Location Partner: Help us make this a fun and entertaining day for our competitors by signing up as a designated location stop during the scavenger hunt on March 9. Here’s how:
- Sign up to host an activity or be a photo stop: We want to feature local businesses and organizations at this event by encouraging participants to stop by your location and participate in an activity to earn more points. Ways to earn points can include participating in a fun activity, finding a hidden object, or give them a takeaway item that needs to be carried to the end – the more creative, the better. Locations and businesses located a greater distance from the downtown will be considered and will give participants an opportunity to earn higher points.
- Activity example: a location can take a picture of the team and the team will receive a total of 5 points. But if the team chooses to stay longer, they can participate in a simple 5-minute activity for 20 points.
3.)
Become an event sponsor for just $500. Your support helps us grow our movement in Macon to create better streets for everyone. We have specific Shamrock 'n' Ride sponsorship levels as well as year-round Bike Walk Macon opportunities. Check out
more details here and note on this form if you are interested in receiving more info.
Please note: There is no fee to participate as a location partner. If you sign up to be a Location Partner, please expect up to 100 participants to stop by your location between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on March 9, 2024.
