Please tick the statements that you agree with. The Bishop of Northampton is the appointing authority for Foundation Governors and expects Foundation Governors to confirm all of the following statements:

I am a practicing Catholic. The accepted definition of 'practice' is as follows: The applicant has attended Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation for at least five years (or if practice has been continuous since being received into the Church if that occurred less than five years ago). Attendance at online Mass over the current dispensation in attendance in person is included.

I will uphold my statutory duty to ensure the religious character of the school and that the school is conducted in accordance with the Diocesan Trust Deed

I will comply with Canon Law and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

I will comply with the determinations of the Bishop of Northampton including his wish that all VA schools will, in time, join their regional Diocesan Multi Academy Trust.

I understand that I may be removed from office by the appointing authority [Regulation 18 (1) Education (School Government) (England) Regulations 1999]

I understand that I am required to attend appropriate training to fulfil my role, including Catholic and Religious training and formation sessions run by the Diocese of Northampton
