2023-2024 READY@HOME PROGRAM

Alvin Independent School District (Alvin ISD) extends a warm invitation to you and your preschooler for the upcoming 2023-2024 session of the READY PROGRAM. Geared towards families, the READY program presents a valuable opportunity for parents of 3, 4 , and early 5 (after September 1st, 2023) year-olds to engage in a comprehensive pre-literacy experience. Equipped with an array of tools and resources, parents can actively contribute to their child's developmental journey in the comfort of their home. The central aim of this initiative is to support parents in fostering both educational groundwork and emotional connections, laying the foundation for their child's academic achievements in Kindergarten and beyond.

The upcoming 2023-2024 cohort of the program will adopt a hybrid approach. While virtual facilitation will bring video lessons to parents, in-person circle time gatherings for children will form an integral part of the experience, scheduled for an hour each week.

Should you express interest in enrolling in this enriching program, kindly complete the provided form and submit it upon completion.

The program is slated to commence during the final week of September, extending until the week of December 11th for the Fall semester. Subsequently, the Spring semester will span from the week of January 8th through to the week of March 4th. Participation in both semesters is mandatory to maintain enrollment in the program.

Commitment to the program entails viewing a weekly instructional video designed for parents, attending a one-hour in-person circle time session each week with your child, and engaging in weekly activities and reading sessions at home. All necessary materials will be furnished to enable smooth implementation of the program within your home setting.

Classes are scheduled to take place at the Lewis Lane Annex, conveniently located at 7381 Lewis Ln, Manvel, TX 77578. Various options for class schedules will be offered, requiring attendance only once a week for both you and your child. Day and time assignments for your child will be allocated randomly, though special arrangements can be considered on a case-by-case basis if necessary.
