Our school benefits greatly from our involved parent community. We ask each parent to volunteer for AT LEAST TWO activities over the school year. Please go through and fill out this form to help us gauge which volunteer opportunities will best align with your interests and abilities. As the event approaches, you will be contacted by the event coordinator to work out details - usually in the form of a SignUpGenius electronic form. Thank you so much for your assistance!!

This is a list of our volunteer opportunities. Please select AT LEAST TWO options. You will be contacted at a later date to coordinate specific volunteer details. *

St. Louis Art Fair - Sept. 7-8 - RWS has a booth at the art fair in Clayton in the creative craft area. Volunteers will work in shifts manning the booth during the day and early evening hours. Usually a 4 hour commitment.

School Picture Day - Sept. 19 - We need parent volunteers to assist with school pictures in the morning hours. You will escort kids to and from the photographer and help make sure kids are picture ready. Usually a 2-3 hour commitment.

Scholastic Book Fair - Mid October and Early April - Volunteers for our two book fairs are needed to help set up, work the shopping hours, and pack up the event. Commitments range from 2-5 hours and occur both during school hours and after school.

Trunk-Or-Treat - Oct. 26 - We need volunteers to plan, set up, and tear down this fun event. Commitment ranges from 2-6 hours mostly on the day of the event.

Operation Gratitude - Nov. 1-7 - Help gather excess Halloween candy and prepare to ship to our troops, veterans, and first responders. Flexible time commitment.

Trivia Night Committee - Nov. 2 - Help plan, setup, work, or clean up our fun parents-only trivia night. Commitments range greatly in time.

Poinsettia Sales - Nov. 4-15 - Help coordinate poinsettia orders and assist on order pick-up day. Opportunities to help remotely as well as 3-4 hours on pick-up day.

Gift Wrap for Teachers - Dec. 13 at 9am - Meet at school to show our appreciation for the teachers and staff by wrapping their holiday presents! Commitment of 2-4 hours.

TJ's Pizza Sale - February - Help coordinate pizza orders and assist on order pick-up day. Opportunities to help remotely as well as 3-4 hours on pick-up day.

Floor Hockey Tournament Concessions - Date TBD - Assist Zach Sias by working the concession stand during hockey tournaments. Commitment of 2-4 hours on Saturdays.

Auction Committee - Spring Date TBD - This is our largest event of the year and we need lots of help. Volunteers plan the event and gather donations for our fundraising auction. Time commitments vary greatly.

Teacher Appreciation - May 4, 6, 8 - Help us show our appreciation for the teachers by covering recess and lunch duty so they can have a break. Commitment of 1.5-2 hours during the middle of the day.

Spring Picnic - May 17 - Help set up, run activities, and clean up for our school wide family picnic. Commitment of 1-3 hours on a Sunday.

Field Day - May 22 - Assist Zach Sias on our last day of school funday. Commitment of 4 hours in the morning.

Running Club - Fridays 3-3:30pm - Help encourage lifelong fitness by supervising our running club. Count laps and cheer on the kids as they run. Volunteers can sign up for some or all practices.

Yard Signs - Help set up and take down yard signs for RWS open houses and student birthdays. Lots of opportunities throughout the year.

School Store - Help keep the school store neat and organized! We need help setting up products before events and taking inventory. Flexible time commitment.

Librarian Helper - The library needs volunteers to put away returned books and keep things organized. Volunteers will be trained. Time commitment of 1-4 hours per month.

School Photographer - Do you have a knack for taking pictures? RWS would love help documenting our events for social media, our website, and our yearbook.
