Community Ambassador Application Fall 2021 Role (apply by September, 2021)
Hire a Student is a platform that connects community members and students with help like yard work, babysitting, senior care, errands, and more. Our mission, which has become ever more important during the COVID-19 pandemic, is to empower students and bring communities together (safely).
Are you a high-schooler or college student who wants to launch our mission in your community and take a leadership role in helping your peers share their skills with the community and help those in need?
Apply to be a Community Ambassador! The objective of a Community Ambassador is to act as a liaison between the app and your respective community into bringing the Hire a Student mission to fruition. Community Ambassadors might provide insight on how the platform might improve to best support their communities, show local charities and organizations how they would benefit from student help, aid local seniors in connecting with students in the community, or anything in between. Above all, a Community Ambassador strives to serve his or her community by making it easier to facilitate student help through the platform.

- Improve your skills and learn about leadership, marketing, publicity, communication, community coordination
- Lead community initiatives and projects at your school
- Gain professional skills and build your resume
- Community service hours (permitting your school service policy)
- Network and collaborate with Hire a Student admin and other ambitious high school students in the program
Qualifications:
• High School or College student seeking brand ambassador opportunity
• Sophomore, Junior, Seniors in High School or College
• Top 25% in class
• Effective writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
• Adaptable with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Passion and deep understanding for all things social media and brand awareness- the platforms, the media opportunities, the current state and best practices, with an eye toward the future
• Have a passion and interest in leadership, community-building, outreach, or marketing/branding
• Able to think creatively and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
• Monitoring parent and administration feedback and troubleshooting
• Brainstorming ideas and participating in training and workshops
• Maintaining a positive image of the Hire a Student brand at all times.
• You will need an Instagram account in order to qualify
Applications are due by September 10, 2021. The ambassadorship will begin once the school semester begins.
