Our Dune Ecosystem Restoration Team (DERT) is ready for action! After nearly a year of hiatus, we will be removing invasive species from the Bureau of Land Management's Ma-le'l Dunes South and the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center property. COVID-19 safety practices are still in place. Masks and social distancing are preferred during orientation and in the hike to the work site. Vaccinated participants are preferred.

Our goal is to promote native diversity while engaging community members in the stewardship of coastal environments through hand removal of invasive plants. No prior knowledge is required, training in plant identification and removal practices will be provided.
