Who doesn't love to act out their favorite stories? In Storybook Theatre, students will engage with a classic story, then apply theatre concepts to become the characters in that story and act it out together. We'll start with warm-ups and imagination exercises, dig into a few stories with one to perform, experiment with key concepts, then perform it together (ending with a curtain call of course)! Each class will focus on a new story.
We will explore imagination, improvisation, sensory perception, subtext, physical character, and may other acting concepts that happen to be excellent for elementary development! Classes are on Wednesdays after school at TPES for 8 weeks. Pickup is at 5:30pm. Classes are limited to 14 students in order to be interactive, stay focused and work on a personal level. Cost is $208.
Wed 4-5:30pm, April 12- May 31, grades K-2
