Transfer Option Form 
The Transfer Option form must be submitted when a parent/guardian wants their student(s) to attend another Davenport Community School outside of their home school boundary area.  A separate Transfer Option form is needed for each student.

Transfer Options for current students for 2nd Semester of the 2023-2024 School Year will not be accepted after Monday January 1st at 4:00pm, with the exception of "stay put" requests and families who move to a new school boundary after the deadline.

Transfer Options for current students for the 1st Semester of the 2024-2025 School Year will not be accepted after Monday, July 1st at 4:00pm, with the exception of "stay put" requests and families who move to a new school boundary after the deadline. Any request received after the deadline for 1st Semester will be held and reviewed for the start of 2nd Semester in January 2025. 

Elementary Transfer Requests for the 2024-2025 School Year will not be reviewed until the Summer of 2024.

These additional guidelines apply to all Transfer Option requests:

1) Transportation is not provided. Parents are responsible for their student(s) transportation.
2) Students are allowed to transfer once per school year.
3) Re-application is required when there is an address change.
4) Providing false or incomplete information on this document will immediately nullify the transfer option when founded.
5) A student granted a transfer option may be ineligible for varsity competition for up to 90 days, per Iowa Code 281-36.15
