For example, Kinokuniya USA offered an exclusive art board (shikishi) if you purchased Dinosaur Sanctuary Vol. 1, 2, or 3 from them, and Barnes & Noble sells an Exclusive Edition of Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Vol. 8 with a double-sided foldout poster. How do you feel about retailer-exclusive editions of books? *

I like hardcover books (like ENNEAD Vol. 1 [MATURE HARDCOVER]).

I like when books have covers with special treatment, like spot gloss, metallic foil, or embossing.

I like when books have sprayed or stained edges (a color or design painted on the edges of the pages, visible when the book is closed).

I like when books have color inserts—like an art gallery, or part of the story that was originally made in color.

I like when books have French flaps (as seen on some of our danmei novels).

I like when books have dust jackets (a removable paper cover on the outside of a book).

I like exclusive cover art that can only be found on my edition of the book (like the alternate cover on the B&N Exclusive Edition of TOKYO REVENGERS (OMNIBUS) Vol. 1-2).

I like exclusive bonus art that can only be found inside my edition of the book (like the extra fold-out illustration in the B&N Exclusive Edition of HEAVEN OFFICIAL'S BLESSING: TIAN GUAN CI FU (Novel) Vol. 8).

I like when separate merch is included (like postcards, posters, etc.).
