Alcohol Policy Committee (APC)
The Alcohol Policy Committee (APC) advises the Commission on issues related to the DC government's Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration (ABRA). The APC is the community's first opportunity to engage on all alcohol license issues in ANC 2F (e.g., new license requests, license renewals, Settlement Agreement negotiations).
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee assists with publicity efforts through the ANC 2F website, social media, and (safety permitting) in person efforts. The Communications Committee seeks to encourage diverse participation in the ANC's work and to effectively share the work of the ANC to our community.
Community Development Committee (CDC)
The CDC reviews and advises the Commission on matters related to development and maintenance of the housing stock, historic preservation, neighborhood revitalization and stabilization, commercial and residential development, and zoning. In particular, the CDC serves as the Commission's forum for proposed real estate development and renovation, and it reviews and makes recommendations for action to the full Commission after hearing the views of residents, developers, and business owners.
Public Safety Committee (PSC)
The Public Safety Committee (PSC) advises the Commission with respect to matters of public safety within ANC 2F. The Committee promotes community engagement and DC government initiatives that provide multiple safety resources in order to create a safe and inclusive neighborhood.
Education Committee (Ed Committee)
The Education Committee provides recommendations and advice to the Commission on matters relating to education within the District of Columbia. The committee seeks to assure improvement of the facilities, personnel, policies, and progress of education for all persons within the District of Columbia, in coordination with the Ward 2 Education Council, and, particularly, within the boundaries of ANC 2F.
Public Space & Transportation Committee (PSTC)
The PSTC promotes a safe and reliable transportation system for the residents and visitors of ANC 2F and improves the access to and use of public space in our neighborhood. In particular, the PSTC serves as the Commission's forum for alley improvements; street lights and sidewalk repairs; parking issues; pedestrian, bicycle, and e-scooter infrastructure and safety; neighborhood beautification; parks, green space, and streetscape projects; public transit projects; and public utility projects.
