Every year, Stellenbosch University International hosts an international summer (winter) school during June and July holidays which primarily attracts students from the USA, Europe and Asia. We invite Stellenbosch University students to apply to participate in the Stellenbosch Summer School.

The following application form should be completed in full. You will not be able to save the application form and return to it at a later point of time. You will need about 45 minutes to complete the form.

Entry Requirements:

1. A student must be registered for a full degree at Stellenbosch University.
2. Only students in their second year or later will be considered for a summer school nomination and placement.
3. A student must have an overall aggregate of 60%.

6. After you completed the online application form you need to provide us with a reference letter.

Reference Letter:

A character reference letter from a Lecturer, Academic Supervisor or applicable senior Stellenbosch University staff member; the reference letter must be sent directly by the respective person to the following email address: summer@sun.ac.za. The reference letter can be addressed to Mr. Ben Nel, Manager: Global Engagement Centre.


Reviewing of Application:

Applications will be reviewed by a panel, after which a limited amount of applicants will be invited for an interview. After the latter process has been completed nominations will be made to the Senior Director of Stellenbosch University International. After approval by the Senior Director, applicants are informed of the outcome of the application.
