Bournemouth University and the Students’ Union are working together to scope  a peer-to-peer wellbeing focused befriending scheme. This has developed from a policy that was passed at a SUBU Summit.

This scheme would enable students to receive a listening ear and support from other students. The scheme would be led by student volunteers who will be recruited, supported and trained to fulfil their roles. This service would not provide crisis support, or replace existing services, but would provide an extra avenue for support from your peers.

Over the past few months, we have been working with external organisations to develop a scheme and now we want your feedback to inform out next steps
