ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Always wanted to audition, but weren’t sure what to expect? Maybe you’ve auditioned before but want more experience? Or perhaps you haven’t been performing for a while due to the pandemic? Come dust off the cobwebs and get practical experience auditioning. Learn what happens at a Four County Players audition, and hear what directors are looking for; practice your skills and build confidence! We have some amazing shows lined up in our 50th anniversary season and we want you to audition and to audition with confidence!

Past 4CP directors Derby Thomas and Geri Carlson Sauls will lead this practical workshop and a Q&A. There will be an opportunity to practice cold reading, a dance audition, as well an opportunity to sing an audition song with pianist Erica Umback - if you would like!

Whether you are a seasoned performer or totally new to community theatre, this will be a great opportunity to gain experience and strengthen your audition skills for future shows! We hope you’ll join us!

COVID POLICY:
We highly prefer all participants and volunteers be fully vaccinated. Regardless of vaccination status, everyone must wear a mask in the building at all times unless instructed otherwise. Any updated protocols will be communicated as we move forward.

Have you auditioned at 4CP before? *
At this workshop, those that choose to, will have an opportunity to sing an audition song of their choice. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice singing in front of a group and receive feedback from a seasoned musical director. We hope that all that want to will take this opportunity, but it is not required. If you'd like to sing please indicate that here. A piano accompanist will be provided. Songs must be under a minute and a half long. You must bring sheet music or a backing track. *

We require all participants to show either proof of vaccination (physical or digital copy of the vaccination record/card) OR a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours prior to volunteering.
