The cost to rent a MHCBS per season is $75.00. Instrument rentals are good from September 1st of the year borrowed to August 31st of the following year. Upon receipt of the instrument, rent payable in full by e-transfer, cheque, or cash to the Medicine Hat Concert Band Society.

Please carefully read the terms and conditions for use of a MHCBS instrument.

1. Rental fee due at the time of registration for the performance year. (September)

2. The Renter must actively be participating on the rental instrument(s) in a MHCBS Band.

3. The Renter or legal guardian is advised to carry personal insurance against loss or damage to the instrument or case.

4. The Renter assumes responsibility for the supply of his/her own reeds, oil, grease, straps, strings, and cleaning materials necessary in the use and care of the instrument. Any accessories already present upon rental must be returned or replaced when the instrument is returned.

5. The Renter shall inform the MHCBS Instrument Committee immediately in the event of loss or damage to the instrument or case.

6. The Renter will not alter or modify the instrument or case in any way.

7. Negligence or misuse by the Renter of the instrument or case, or persistent lack of attendance at rehearsals will result in cancellation of the rental agreement and the immediate return of the instrument.

8. The Renter is responsible for refunding the current valuation of the instrument and case if it is not returned to the Society.

9. The Renter is expected to return the instrument and case cleaned and in good working condition when requested by the Instrument Committee or at the end of the contract period.

10. If the Renter wishes to terminate the Agreement, he/she must do so within 10 days of the rental date, upon which the rental fee will be refunded. Otherwise, rental fees are non-refundable.
