Time and Talents - 2022

During this Stewardship Season, as you’re contemplating your financial gifts, we also encourage you to think about how you might give your time and talents to support the work of our church. Please consider the opportunities below and check off those that interest you! Note: you can serve on as many volunteer committees as you wish, but only one elected board at a time.

Elected Committees - please select one

a. Community Engagement committee: plan events to connect us within and outside of our church family, such as new member receptions, visitor lunches, Fall Festivals, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner

b. Local and Global Missions committee: cultivate partnerships for local and global missions, including events like the Harvest Dinner and trips to serve at Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp

c. Personnel Committee: facilitate the work of our staff through support, review, and professional growth opportunities

d. Trustee committee: manage church finances and our property

e. Design (a subcommittee of trustees) – make recommendations to the Executive Board on redecorating and refurbishing our facility

f. Christian Formation committee: be part of a small team focusing either on adult, youth or children’s formation

g. Nominating committee: help us fill our committees with members for the coming year

h. Stewardship committee: encourage and promote good stewardship of time, talents, and money

i. Diaconate: provide spiritual care for the congregation through serving communion, ushering, Sunday greeting, greeting cards, plant delivery and more

j. Mutual Ministry: support our pastors with care, support and constructive criticism

Rummage Sale

Altar Guild: keep our sanctuary beautiful through the paraments, art displays, and seasonal decorations and help recruit Sunday scripture readers

Care Team Ministry: care for a member of our congregation through regular visits

Web Communications and Design: help coordinate, design and manage WCC’s online presence

Women’s Ministries: join with all women of the church for small groups, programs like Lucia and the Women’s Retreat, wedding showers, and coordinating serving committees for special events

Library: help with the maintenance and upkeep of the church library

Music ministries: support our music director in creating and implementing music programs for all ages

Refuel: help with our Wednesday evening intergenerational gathering comprised of dinner, worship, and small group activities for all ages
